Join a coalition of 24 organizations across the state of Maryland to urge the Maryland General Assembly to pass legislation requiring that the Maryland National Guard be used only for legal purposes on February 23 in Annapolis.A coalition of 24 organizations across the state of Maryland is urging the Maryland General Assembly to pass legislation requiring that the Maryland National Guard be used only for legal purposes. Introduced by Senator Richard Madaleno in the Senate and Delegate Jill Carter in the House of Delegates, Senate Bill 501 is currently in the Education, Health and Environmental Affairs and searching for co-sponsors. In an attempt to raise awareness and support, the Maryland Campaign to Keep the Guard Home scheduled a Lobby night for February 23rd. For more information click, here.
